Kannawa, one of the 8 hot spring areas of Beppu, still carries a reminiscent atmosphere of good old days from the therapeutic Onsen town.
Here lies “Sally Garden Inn Yanagiya” which is a traditional lodge passed down through generations since the Meiji era and recently breathed a new life and transformed into a place where modernity and tradition merge through art.
Passing through the Noren curtain designed by Michiaki Mochizuki, we step into a world away from busy everyday life.
Feel a sigh of relief in a bathtub filled with free-flowing spring water, savor the “Jigoku” steamed dishes, and take an afternoon nap in casual cotton wear called Yukata.
We hope you enjoy taking time off in this somehow nostalgic and peaceful setting and have relaxing days unwinding your body and mind.

Sally Garden is a confectionery with chiffon cakes and other baked sweets and originally started its business in Oita city in 2008.
It is now a cafe where we can enjoy tea and lunch while also a gallery where we shop and appreciate the art.
Chiffon cakes and other baked sweets from Sally Garden are also available at a café "Alteneue" next to Yanagiya.
